Our focus continues to
be for the big redfish. The Matagorda Jetties, Intercostal,
diversion, and in the Colorado River near the old box
factory are the spots for our redfish charters. Live mullet
is the bait of choice. Many of the reds we have been catching
are oversized. “Bird action for trout and redfish is starting
to show. Rig plum and chartreuse sand eel jr.’s on a ¼
ounce lazer lock jig head for best results. The bite should
turn very strong following the approaching cold front."
